BannerWeb Time Entry Quick Reference

BannerWeb Time Entry For Exempt Employees

  1. In the Address field of your browser, type go/bannerweb and press Key Enter.PNG.
  2. Enter your User ID and PIN in the fields indicated and click Login button.PNG.
    - User ID = eight-digit number; your College ID number padded with preceding zeros.
    - PIN = your birth date in MMDDYY format (you must change this and set a Personal Security Question and Answer during your 1st login to BannerWeb).
  3. Click the Employee link or the Employee tab.
  4. Click the Time Off Current Balances and History link to check your CTO balance and to determine if a transfer to SLR is required.
    - Maximum accrued CTO balance during most of the year is:
       - 279 hours if you are scheduled to work 7.75 hours per day.
       - 288 hours if you are scheduled to work 8 hours per day.
    - Maximum accrued CTO balance at the Fiscal Year Rollover is:
       - 186 hours if you are scheduled to work 7.75 hours per day.
       - 192 hours if you are scheduled to work 8 hours per day.
  5. Click the Employee tab to return to the menu..
  6. Click the Time Sheet link.
  7. Select the pay period from the drop-down list, and then click Button TimeSheet.PNGNote: If you have two positions, click the radio button to bullet the position desired under My Choice, select the time sheet from the drop-down list, and click Button TimeSheet.PNG.
  8. Click Enter Hours at the intersection of the date column and the Earning row for which you want to claim time (Combined Time Off, Sick Leave Reserve, or Transfer CTO to SLR).
  9. In the Hours field, type the number of hours (in quarter-hour increments) you want to claim and click the appropriate button:
    - Save button.PNG to enter a claim for a single day.
    - Button Copy2.PNG to enter a claim for multiple days.
  10. Click Button Next2.PNG to enter hours for the second week of the pay period.
  11. When you are finished with your time sheet, click Button Preview.PNG to perform a visual check of your work. Click Button PreviousMenu.PNG to return to your time sheet.
  12. Click Button Comments.PNG to communicate with your supervisor/approver. Click Save button.PNG and Button PreviousMenu.PNG to return to your time sheet.
  13. Click Button SubmitForApproval.PNG to submit your time sheet for approval. The Certification page opens.
    - In the PIN field, type your 6-digit PIN.
    - Click Submit button.PNG to confirm your desire to pass your time sheet to your supervisor for approval.
  14. Notify your supervisor/approver that you have submitted your time sheet.


BannerWeb Time Entry For Non-exempt Employees

  1. In the Address field of your browser, type go/bannerweb and press Key Enter.PNG.
  2. Enter your User ID and PIN in the fields indicated and then click Login_Button.
    - User ID = eight-digit number; your College ID number padded with preceding zeros.
    - PIN = your birth date in MMDDYY format (you must change this to a different 6‚Äëdigit number and set a Personal Security Question and Answer during your 1st login to BannerWeb).
  3. Click the Employee link or the Employee tab.
  4. Click the Time Sheet link.
  5. Button TimeSheet.PNGNote: If you have two positions, click the radio button to bullet the position desired under My Choice, select the time sheet from the drop-down list, and click Button TimeSheet.PNG.
  6. Click [[Image:]] at the intersection of the date column and the Earning row for which you want to claim time (either time worked- Regular, time taken off, or CTO to SLR transfer). Please note: There is no earning type for overtime, the system automatically calculates any overtime hours.
  7. If you worked hours during shift 2 or 3 on this day, enter the shift number in the Shift field. Shift 1 includes the hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This is the default shift code and does not need to be entered.
    - Shift 2 includes the hours 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM
    - Shift 3 includes the hours 12:00 AM to 7:00 AM
    Note: It is possible to work more than one shift on a given day and you must claim hours in the correct shift to get paid for those hours by entering time in a new row for each shift code.
  8. In the Hours field, type the number of hours (in quarter-hour increments) you want to claim and click the appropriate button:
    - Save button.PNG to enter a claim for a single day.
    Button Copy2.PNG to enter a claim for multiple days.
    Note: You must enter hours and submit your time card in order to get paid! Remember to enter Regular hours on days for which you have claimed a partial day of leave.
  9. Click Button Next2.PNG to enter hours for the second week of the pay period.
  10. When you are finished with your time sheet, click Button Preview.PNG to perform a visual check of your work. Click Button PreviousMenu.PNG to return to your time sheet.

BannerWeb Time Entry For Student Employees

    - PIN = your birth date in MMDDYY format (you must change this and set a Personal Security Question and Answer during your 1st login to BannerWeb).
  3. Click the Employee link or the Employee tab.
  4. Click the Time Sheet link.
  5. Select the pay period from the drop-down list, and then click Button TimeSheet.PNGNote: If you have two positions, click the radio button to bullet the position desired under My Choice, select the time sheet from the drop-down list, and click Button TimeSheet.PNG.
  6. Click Enter Hours at the intersection of the date column and the Earning row for which you want to claim time (Student Academic Year NO FICA or Student Summer Regular FICA).Please note: Overtime is an option only to be used if you work over 40 hours in one week. Enter any hours over 40 in this earning row.
  7. In the Hours field, type the number of hours (in quarter-hour increments) you want to claim and click the appropriate button:
    - Save button.PNG to enter a claim for a single day.
    - Button Copy2.PNG to enter a claim for multiple days.
    Note: You must enter hours worked in order to get paid for them.
  8. Click Button Next2.PNG to enter hours for the second week of the pay period.
