Third-person Shooter' games are a sub-genre of action games and requires a three-dimensional game space. Third-person shooters are characterized by the consistent visibility of the player controlled avatar within the frame of the player's screen. The primary objective of these games is shooting at targets, but is done from a third-person camera angle. The targets that the player attempts to shoot can be targets, NPC (non-player controlled) enemies, or player controlled enemies in the case of online multiplayer shooters.
