Maple Meeting Room
In this space you can project on the television from a laptop from a VGA cable or HDMI cable, watch a blu-ray or DVD, or use the Auxiliary Video input to connect a VCR or Laser Disk.
Power on the Television by pressing the ON button on the button panel or by using the TV remote.
Projecting from the VGA Cable, press the Laptop VGA button on the button panel. Connect the VGA cable to your computer, it does not matter if the computer is on or not. If you have a Mac, you will need the appropriate dongle/adapter. You should have projection, if you do not have projection, go to the troubleshooting section of the document.
Projecting from HDMI Cable Press the Laptop HDMI button on the button panel. Connect the HDMI cable to your computer, it does not matter if the computer is on or not. If you have an older Mac, you will need the appropriate dongle/adapter. You should have projection, if you do not have projection, go to the troubleshooting section of this document.
Watching a BLU-ray/DVD Press the Blu-ray button on the button panel. You can use the buttons on the blu-ray player or the Sony Blu-ray remote to control the Blu-ray player. Insert your disk and press play. If you disk is not playing, call the Helpdesk at x2200 for assistance from Media Services.
Aux Video If you would like to watch a video from a device with an RCA output such as a home video camera or VHS or Laser Disc, you can loan one from the Circulation Desk at the library. Connect the red, white, and yellow cable to your device and to red, white, and yellow inputs on the front of the rack, push the Aux Video button on the button panel and press play. If your video is not playing, contact the Helpdesk at x2200 for assistance from Media Services.
Troubleshooting
If you have a PC Press Windows+P, this will open the projection options, select duplicate.
If you have a Mac Press Command+F1, this will switch from the current non-projection to mirror, if you would like to use extended display, press Command+F1 again and it will switch to extended display.
