When you try to install an application on a Mac, you may get a message saying "Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers." A security setting is preventing the installation. Here's how to adjust the setting so you can run the installer:
- Open your System Preferences.
- Open Security & Privacy.
- From the General tab, click the padlock icon to make changes, then enter password as directed.
- Change the Allow apps downloaded from: setting to Anywhere.
- Click the Allow From Anywhere button.
- Click the padlock icon.
