Hillcrest 103 - The Orchard

In this room you can project from the desktop computer, a laptop using either VGA or HDMI, watch a DVD or Blu-ray, and any device with an RCA output

Volume - You can control the volume in the room from the touch panel on the right side of the screen. If the volume is too low, you can also boost the volume from the computer that you are projecting from.

Powering on the System - Press the power icon in the center of the touch panel screen. This will take you to the Main Menu.

Projecting from the Desktop - Press the PC icon , then select which projector you would like to send the image to. At that time, the screen will come down and the projector will turn on. If you do not have projection, call the Helpdesk at x2200

Projecting from HDMI- Press the Laptop HDMI icon, then select which projector you would like to send the image to. At that time, the screen will come down and the projector will turn on. Connect the HDMI cable to your computer. If you do not have projection, go to the troubleshooting section of this page.

Projecting from VGA - Press the Laptop VGA icon, then select which projector you would like to send the image to. At that time, the screen will come down and the projector will turn on. Connect the VGA cable to your computer. If you do not have projection, go to the troubleshooting section of this page.

Watching a Blu-ray/DVD - Press the Blu-ray icon. You might have to power on the Blu-ray player. Insert your disc and press play. You can control the Blu-ray player from the touch panel.

Composite Video- This input is for any device with an RCA (red, white, yellow) output such as a VCR or Laser Disc player. Connect the device to the RCA inputs on the front of the rack. There are no controls for those devices from the touch panel.

Powering Off the System- Press the red System Off icon, another window will pop up to confirm that you want to shut the system off.

Troubleshooting- If you are having difficulties projecting from your computer, go to go/troubleshoot for more tips. If you continue to have problems, contact the Helpdesk at x2200 for assistance.
