Kirk Main Conference Room, 107
In this space you can project from a laptop with VGA or HDMI and watch a Blu-ray or DVD.
There are 2 button panels in this space, one in the back of the room in the rack and one in the front to the left of the fireplace.
Powering on the System - Press the On button on the panel. This will turn on the projector.
Volume - You can control the volume of any audio coming from the computer with the volume dial on the button panel.
Projecting from HDMI - Press the HDMI button and connect the HDMI cable to your computer. You should have projection, but if you do not, go to the troubleshooting section of this page.
Projecting from AppleTV - – Press the AppleTV icon on the touch panel at the top of the screen. On your computer, click on the AirPlay icon at the top of the screen on the right. It looks like a rectangle with a triangle inserted into the bottom. Select the room you are in from the list. A 4-digit code will appear on the projection screen. Type that code into your computer. As soon as you have finished typing the code, you should have projection.
Please remember to turn the system off when you are finished.
Troubleshooting - If your computer is not projecting at all or if you are only seeing the desktop image without any of the other icons, on a PC press the Windows button (little flag) and P at the same time. A window will pop up with the different projection options. You will want to mirror unless you want presenters view in Power point, then you will want extended view. On a Mac, press the command button and F1 at the same time, wait 2 or 3 seconds for it to cycle, do this again if needed until you see the projected image you are looking for. For more detailed troubleshooting tips, go to go/troubleshoot.
There's a flat screen display in this space with an HDMI cable which can be connected to a Middlebury College laptop via the HDMI port or adapters provided by Middlebury when the laptop was deployed.
