In this classroom you can project from your laptop with the VGA cable, watch a DVD and Blu-ray, and connect an external analog device such as a VCR or Laser Disc player.
Powering on the System - Press the power button. This will turn on the projector.
Screen - The screen is manual, you will need to pull it down yourself.
Projecting from a Laptop - Press the Laptop button, connect the VGA cable to your computer. If you have a Mac, you will need the appropriate adapter/dongle to connect your computer to the VGA cable. You should see your desktop image on the screen, if you do not, go to the troubleshooting section of this page.
Watching a Blu-ray/DVD - Press the Blu-ray button. You may need to power on the Blu-ray player. Insert your disc and press play on the the Blu-ray player.
Auxiliary Input - Connect the device, i.e. VCR or laser disc player to the front of the rack with the RCA cable (Red, White, and Yellow connectors). Press the Composite Video button. You will have to control the device from the device itself, such as play, pause, stop, etc. If you do not see the video projecting on the screen, check the cable connections or you may need a "newer" cable.
Troubleshooting - If your computer is not projecting at all or if you are only seeing the desktop image without any of the other icons, on a PC press the Windows button (little flag) and P at the same time. A window will pop up with the different projection options. You will want to mirror unless you want presenters view in PowerPoint, then you will want extended view. On a Mac, press the command button and F1 at the same time, wait 2 or 3 seconds for it to cycle, do this again if needed until you see the projected image you are looking for.
