Microphone Systems
Sound reinforcement (or voice lift / voice reinforcement) uses microphones and loudspeakers to ensure that the voice of the speaker can be heard evenly throughout the room. The system is often called a PA system or referred to as a microphone system. Quite a few rooms on-campus feature proper sound reinforcement: wired and wireless microphones, speakers, acoustic design, etc. For an up-to-date list of these locations, please visit the Master Location Schedule, open the Locations tab, click More Search Options and under Features select Microphone pa system. LIS also has portable sound systems for this purpose, but the built-in systems in specific rooms will provide a better overall experience.
Spaces with microphones
The spaces below have built-in microphone systems. For an up-to-date list of these locations, please visit the Master Location Schedule, open the Locations tab, click More Search Options and under Features select Microphone pa system. LIS may provide technical staff for an event to run the microphone system or we may preset the system for your use and provide an orientation on how to use it.
