Find Your OS (Operating System) Version

This article explains how to find your OS (operating system) version.

Windows

1. Click the magnifying glass on the Taskbar, then type in winver.
2. Click the winver command in the list of results to run it. 
3. A window will open displaying your operating system name at the top.

Mac

1. Click on the Apple logo in the upper left corner.
2. Click to select About this Mac.
3. A window will open displaying your operating system name at the top.
