Wrapping power cords
Damaged MacBook power adapters are a chronic problem and Middlebury College has already spent thousands of dollars this fiscal year replacing them ($80 each). This damage is caused by tightly wrapping the cord around the adapter, which eventually ruins the cord as shown above, causing severe inconvenience for you and unnecessary spending for the College. Please help LIS – and yourself – by learning the simple trick to adapter longevity.
To properly wrap the cord, leave a little loop where it enters the adapter in order to prevent the stress that causes it to break. It's that easy! See below:
