4053b Polar Pattern

Overview

The Audio-Technica 4053b is specially engineered to meet the most critical acoustic requirements of professional recording, broadcast and sound reinforcement. It features a hypercardioid polar pattern that reduces pickup of sounds from the sides and rear, improving isolation of desired sound source.

This microphone is primarily intended for Sight and Sound II. It is recommended for indoor locations and should be close in proximity to the sound source. It is most effective when used with an onboard camera mount, handheld shockmount, or with a boompole to reduce handling noise.
