Open your project

  1. Open CONTENTdm Project Client

  2. Click PROJECT/Open and select your project

  3. You can now add items from the collection and edit them

Search for items

  1. Click Find in collection tab
  2. Open My advanced search. Search for title and volume, etc., using "exact phrase." Click Search

  3. When items are imported, check the boxes by the ones you want to edit, or click Select all
  4. Click Add to project (edit)
  5. Click your project tab (e.g., Midd campus) Suggestion: sort items by issue date (click once in Issue date box)

Edit items

  1. Double-click on item and open
  2. Click View structure/View spreadsheet

  3. Change issue date to correct form: yyyy-mm-dd
  4. Check other fields to be sure they're correct (e.g., genre for Campus should be "Newspapers," not "Newsletters")
  5. To fill in all cells of a particular field with same information, right-click on top cell, then choose Fill down. All cells in that field column will be populated with the same content
  6. Click Save or Save and next

  7. Repeat editing steps for each issue

Upload items for approval

  1. When finished editing all fields, you'll be returned to project screen. Click Select all
  2. Click Upload for approval

  3. Fill in workflow spreadsheet
