Davis Family Library 201 - Watson Lecture Hall

In this space you can project from a VGA cable, watch a Laser Disc, VHS, and DVD. There are are 3 screens in this room. One large screen that covers the entire white board, this is recommended for showing a film. he 2 smaller screens can come down side by side allowing you to show to different things at once, such as projecting from a laptop and showing a DVD.

Starting the System - Touch the touchpanel screen anywhere, this will take you to the main menu. If you choose Video Screening, this will take you another screen with all the source options. It will automatically lower the large center screen. If you choose Classroom Presentation, it will take you to another page with all the source options. You will need to select your source and then the screen you want it to project on, then the screen will lower.

Projecting from VGA - Push the Laptop icon at the top of the touchpanel screen. If you are using Classroom Presentation, you will need to select which screen you want it to go to. Connect the VGA cable to your computer. If you have a Mac, you will the appropriate adapter/dongle. If you do not have one, you can loan one from the circulation desk. You should have projection. If you do not have projection, go to the troubleshooting section of this document.

Watching a DVD - Push the DVD icon at the top of the touchpanel screen. If you are using Classroom Presentation mode you will need to select which projector you want to send it to. Insert your disc and press play. You can control the DVD player from the touchpanel. You can play, pause, stop, fast forward, rewind, Skip forward, skip backward, and navigate the DVD Menu.

Watching a VHS - Push the VCR icon at the top of the touchpanel screen. If you are using Classroom Presentation mode you will need to select which screen to send it to. Insert your tape and press play. You can control the VCR from the touchpanel. You can play, pause, stop, fast forward, and rewind.

Watching a LaserDisc - Press the Aux Video icon at the top of the touchpanel screen. If you are using Classroom Presentation mode you will need to select which screen you want it to go to. Insert your disc and press play. You will have control the Laser Disc player from the device, there are no touchpanel controls.

Projecting from the Document Camera - Press the Aux VGA icon at the top of the touchpanel screen. If you are using Classroom Presentation mode you will need to select which projector to send it to. Power on the Document Camera, you can play with the buttons on the device to find the display options you are looking for.

Please remember to turn the system off when you are finished.
