Collection Development Policy for Faculty Authors’ Publications (Updated 2012)

The collection development policy for faculty publications is for the main library to collect all faculty publications for the circulating collection (main stacks), to maintain a permanent Faculty Author’s display on the Main Level of Davis Family Library, and for the College Archives to accept faculty publications as second copies when they are donated as gifts.

The collection development policy for faculty publications was amended circa 2004 when purchasing all faculty publications for the College Archives (‘Archives P’) was deemed an unsustainable practice due to both space limitations and budgetary considerations. Also, Special Collections provides only reduced access to these publications due to limited Special Collections hours and non-circulation status for all holdings.
