Follow the appropriate instructions below to learn the version of Microsoft Office you have:
Find MS Office version on a Windows PC
- Launch a Microsoft product; we'll use Word in this example.
- Click the File tab.
- Click to choose Account or Help -- whichever one you see.
- Note: Don't have a File tab? Older versions of Office have a Help menu containing "About Microsoft Office Outlook."
Find MS Office version on a Mac
- Launch a Microsoft product; we'll use Word in this example.
- Click on the menu labeled Word (next to the apple logo in the top left corner of the screen).
- Click About Word.
