- Using the Add or Remove Programs option in the Control Panel, remove all versions of J2SE Runtime, Java, Java SE, Java Updates, and Oracle JInitiator.
a. In the Add or Remove Programs dialog box, select the program to be removed.
b. Click.
- If you use IE check to see if you are using the Pop-up Blocker: Click the Tools menu and point to Pop-up Blocker. If the submenu says Turn Off Pop-up Blocker then the pop-up blocker is in use. If the Pop-up Blocker is used, to the following:
a. From the Tools menu select Internet Options.
b. Click the Security tab.
c. Select Trusted Sites and then click.
d. In the Add this Web site to the zone field type *.middlebury.edu and then click.
e. Clickon the Trusted Sites dialog box and then click
on the Internet Options dialog box.
- If you use IE check the browser security settings:
a. From the Tools menu select Internet Options.
b. Click the Security tab.
c. Select Internet, Local Intranet, Trusted Sites, and Restricted Sites, in turn and clickfor each.
Note: On some computers you can click rather than selecting and resetting each zone.
d. Clickon the Internet Options dialog box and then click

on the Internet Options dialog box to close.

a. From the Tools menu select Manage Add-ons.
b. Select any suspected toolbar or Adobe add-on and then click the Disable radio button. The add-on will be moved to the Disabled list.
c. Do steps a and b for each toolbar or add-on.
d. When finished, click.
