This room is slightly different and much simpler than other Smart Classrooms you may have been in with the touch screen control panel. In here there is a rack with the media equipment on it which includes an amplifier and a DVD/VCR combo unit. There is also a drawer with the DVD/VCR remote in it. On top of the rack is a button panel to control the projector.

Turning on Equipment

You will need to pull the screen down on the opposite wall. Push the “Proj. On” button to turn on the projector.

Watching a DVD or VHS

1. Select the DVD/VCR button on the button panel
2. You will need to push the power button on the device, first button on the left. You can also do this with the remote.
3. On the DVD/VCR player screen there will be an icon indicating which setting it is on, DVD or VCR. If it is not on the correct setting, push the DVD/VCR button. It is the first on the right, next to the Audio/Video inputs. You can also do this from the remote.
PLEASE NOTE!!! Do not push the DVD door closed. Doing this strips the gears and eventually breaks the device. Use the Open/Close button.
4. You can control the room volume from the button panel with the volume dial.

Projecting from a Laptop

1. Select Laptop button
2. Connect VGA 15 Pin cable to the VGA input on your computer and plug the 3.5 Audio cable into the headphone jack.
3. Turn your computer on. You should have projection, if you do not have projection or the image is cropped, see the Trouble Shooting Tips section of this document.
IF YOU ARE PROJECTING FROM A MAC! You will need the designated VGA adapter/dongle for your model Mac.

Please remember to turn the system off when you are finished.
