MBH 104 Classroom

In this classroom you can watch a DVD, Laserdisc, and VHS, and you can play CDs. You can also project from the provided desktop, or from a laptop using a VGA cable, show slides from the rear of the room, control the lighting, volume, and the screens from the touch panel.

Turning System On
Touch the screen to begin; this will take you to the Main Menu. The selection for sources fills touch panel screen. When you select a source it will turn the projector on and lower the screen.

Lights - You can control the lights in this room by pressing the Lights button. There are four lighting options: Full, Note-Taking, Video, and OFF.

Screen - You can control any of the three screens (Left, Center, Right) by pressing the PROJ SCREENS button.

Projecting from VGA - Press the LAPTOP COMP button on the touch panel screen. Connect the VGA cable to your laptop as well as the sound cable if necessary. Turn your computer on. You should have projection. If you do not have projection go to the Troubleshooting section of this document.

Projecting from Desktop - Press the LECTERN COMP button on the touch screen panel. Log into the computer. You should have projection. If you do not have projection, go to the Troubleshooting section of this document.

Watching a VHS - Press the VHS button at the top of the touch panel screen. Insert your tape and press play. You can control the VCR from the touch panel. It will play, stop, rewind, fast forward, pause, and eject.

Watching a DVD - Press the DVD button on the touch panel screen. Insert your disk and press play. You can control the DVD player from the touch panel. It will play, stop, fast forward, rewind, skip forward, skip back, pause, and eject. You can also use the arrows on the right side of the screen to navigate the menu options, go to the Main Menu, Title page, and use Enter to make a selection.

Watching a LaserDisc - Press the LaserDisc button on the touch panel screen. Insert your disk and press play. You can control the Blu-ray player from the touch panel. It will play, stop, fast forward, rewind, skip forward, skip back, pause, and eject.

Playing a CD - Press the CD/DVD button and select CD from the menu. Use the controls as you would for a DVD or LaserDisc.

AUX - This connection is on the rack with the red, white, and yellow jacks, this is for other devices you might need such as an additional VCR, Laser Disc player, etc.

Turning System Off - On the bottom right of all the touch panel screens is the red Power System Off button. Press this; a confirmation screen will pop up. Press the green Yes button to confirm you want to turn the system off. All devices in the rack will turn off, the projector will turn off and the screen will go up when you press this button.

Please remember to turn the system off when you are finished.
