MBH 161 Library Instruction

Spherical Image - RICOH THETA

In this room you can project from a laptop or the desktop computer, and watch a DVD and VHS Video.

Turning on Equipment - You will need to pull the screen down on the wall behind the lectern by pressing the Screen Down button. Push the “Proj. On” button to turn on the projector.

Watching a VHS - Select the VHS button on the button panel. You will need to push the power button on the device, you can also do this with the remote. You will find all necessary controls in the VHS player menu, including lighting and volume control.

Watching a DVD - Select the DVD button on the button panel. You will need to push the power button on the device, but you can also do this with the remote. You will find all necessary controls in the DVD player menu, including lighting and volume control.

Projecting from a Laptop - Select LAPTOP COMP button. Connect VGA cable to your computer and plug the 3.5 Audio cable into the headphone jack if needed. If you have a Mac you will need to the appropriate adapter (dongle) You should have projection, if you do not have projection or the image is cropped, see the Troubleshooting section of this document.

Projecting from Desktop. - Select the LECTERN COMP button and log into the computer. You should have projection. If you do not have projection or the image is cropped, see the Troubleshooting section of this document.

AUX VID - This connection is on the rack with the red, white, and yellow jacks, this is for other devices you might need and plug in such as an additional VCR, Laser Disc player, etc.

Please remember to turn the system off when you are finished.
