This document describes how to install Microsoft Office on your personal computer. For installing Microsoft Office on a College-owned computer, see Microsoft Office.

Windows
  • Do not use this installer on shared use College-owned computers!
  • Windows users will be offered Office 365.
  • If your computer currently has an older version of MS Office, you should uninstall it (via Control Panel, Programs and Features) before attempting to install Office 365.
  1. Go to http://www.office.com
  2. Click "Sign in" (if prompted, choose "use work or school account")
  3. Sign in using your Middlebury email address and password
  4. Click the "Install Office" button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen then choose Office 365 Apps
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation


 

Mac
  • Do not use this installer on shared use College-owned computers!
  • Macs running 10.11 (El Capitan) or above will receive Office 365; Macs running 10.10 and below will receive an older version of Office.

A: Currently employed Middlebury undergraduate faculty and staff, Midd undergraduate students, currently employed faculty and staff at MIIS, and MIIS students are eligible.

Our license does not cover installs for academic programs such as the summer Language Schools, Bread Loaf School of English, or Off-Campus Study. It also does not cover emeriti, alumni, retirees, and contract hires.
