Turning System On

Touch the touch panel firmly to awaken it.  Touch it again firmly in the icon that says "Touch Screen to Begin".  This will bring you to the Main Menu

You can control the lighting from the touch panel; you may want to turn the lights on now by touching the Lights icon and choose the setting that works for you. If you are projecting on the screen you will want to turn them to low or off for better visibility. Select Main Menu to return to the Main Manu.
To lower the screen you will touch the Screen Control icon and press the down button to lower it. Select Main Menu to return to the Main Menu.


To Watch A DVD

1. Select the DVD icon, on the Main Menu; this will turn all the devices in the rack on as well as the projector.
2. Insert your DVD into the DVD player on the rack and it should automatically load. You will have complete control over the DVD player from the touch panel, Play, Stop, Pause, Rewind, Fast Forward, and Skip.
3. After you have watched your movie you will have to eject the DVD from the DVD player from the button on the DVD player, there is not an eject option on the touch panel. Then push the Main Menu icon.


To Watch a VHS

1. Select the VCR icon on the Main Menu; this will turn all the devices in the rack on as well as the projector.
2. Insert your VHS tape in to the VCR. You will have complete control over the VCR from the touch panel, Stop, Play, Pause, Rewind, and Fast Forward.
3. After you have watched your video, you will have to eject the VHS from the VCR since there is not an eject option on the touch panel. Then push the Main Menu icon.


To Project from a PC

1. Plug the VGA 15 pin cable into your computer.
2. Select Laptop icon, on the touch panel Main Menu; this will turn all devices in the rack on as well as the projector.
3. Turn your computer on and you should have projection. If you do not have projection or you do have projection but the screen is cropped, go to Trouble Shooting Tips section of this document.
4. When you have finished projecting, you can select the Main Menu icon and disconnect the VGA 15 pin cable from the computer.


To Project from a Mac

Note! You may have been able to project from your Mac in other classrooms with the VGA 15 pin with an adapter but the system in Old Chapel is new and slightly different, you will need to connect to the HDMI cable with a special adapter.

If you are projecting from a white or black Mac book;

1. Plug the mini-DVI/DVI into computer
2. Connect black DVI cable into the white adapter
3. Select the Aux HDMI icon on the touch panel; this will turn on all devices in the rack as well as the projector.
4. Turn your computer on and you should have projection. If you do not have projection or you do have projection but the screen is cropped, go to Trouble Shooting Tips section of this document.
5. When you have finished projecting, you can select the Main Menu icon and disconnect the HDMI and adapter from the computer.

If you are projecting from silver Mac book Pro;

1. Plug the black DVI cable into the DVI port.
2. Select the Aux HDMI icon on the Main Menu; this will turn all the devices in the rack on as well as the projector.
3. Turn your computer on and you should have projection. If you do not have projection or you do have projection but the screen is cropped, go to Trouble Shooting Tips section of this document.
4. When you have finished projecting, you can select the Main Menu icon and disconnect the HDMI and adapter from the computer.


If you are projecting from a Mac with a Mini Display Port;

1. Plug the Mini DisplayPort/VGA adapter into the Mini DisplayPort
2. Connect the VGA Cable into the white adapter
3. Select the Aux HDMI icon on the Main Menu; this will turn all the devices in the rack on as well as the projector.
4. Turn your computer on and you should have projection. If you do not have projection or you do have projection but the screen is cropped, go to Trouble Shooting Tips section of this document.
5. When you have finished projecting, you can select the Main Menu icon and disconnect the DVI and adapter from the computer.


Turning System Off

Please be sure to shut the system off to save energy costs and save the integrity of the system.
Select the System Shutdown icon on the Main Menu,  then select OK . This will turn off all the equipment and raise the screen.
