POD, a.k.a. Purchase on Demand, ILL to Acq Auto Purchase

POD Criteria

When the following criteria are met, ILL immediately passes a request to Acquisitions for purchase:

• Recent publication (within current or preceding year)
  
• Amazon purchase price less then average ILL loan cost, ~ $50
  

POD Steps

• Request item via online Request form (go/requests)
  
• CM will search GOBI Acq to see if these are already queued for Approval delivery through YBP
  
• Order will be placed as a RUSH
• When item arrives > sent to WALKTHRURUSH cataloging
• Sent to P&P
• P&P delivers item to Circ
• Circ adds electronic hold
• Patron will be notified through the ILS
