Panasonic PV-GS500

Overview

The Panasonic PV-GS500 is the video camera used in support of Sight and Sound I and Aesthetics of the Moving Image. It shoots onto Mini DV tape in NTSC format at a resolution of 720 x 480.

Recommended Camera Settings

Menu Settings
  • Scene Mode = Off
  • Rec Speed = SP
  • Wind Cut = Off
  • Aspect = 4:3
  • OIS = Off
  • Audio Rec = 16bit
  • D. Zoom = Off
  • Mic Level = Set
  • Focus = Manual
  • Iris = (dependent on available light)
  • Shutter (Shtr) = 1/60
  • Gain = 0dB
  • White Balance (WB) = Manual Adjustment Mode
