General Notes

When touching any of the icons on this panel; touch and hold it for 1-2 seconds.

Touch the Touch Panel/Monitor in the designated spot to go to the Main Menu

To control Audience Lights, Tech Lights (stage lights), Curtains, or Projector, touch the “Room” icon in the top left corner.

Audience Lights

Touch Compact Fluorescent Light Bulb icon. You can turn the fluorescent light on or off and the incandescent lights on, off, or adjust the brightness.

Tech Lights (Stage Lights)

Touch the Tech lights icon, there are 4 different sets of lights, you can turn them on or off.

Projector

You can turn the projector on an off or blank/mute the screen from here, although the projector will automatically turn on when you select a source. It will take a few minutes for the projector to warm up and actually turn on. You can also change the aspect ratio of the screen from 4:3 (full screen) to 16:9 (widescreen).

Curtains

You can open, stop or close the blue curtains. The black curtains you have to touch and hold the icon you want to open or close until they are in the desired position. Top and bottom masking does not move.

Media Equipment

All equipment is in the rack behind the curtain to the right of the podium. There is a VCR/DVD player, Blu-ray player, Document Camera, as well as connections for a PC laptop and the touch panel doubles as the monitor for the PC desktop.


Watching a DVD

ALL DVD’s GO IN THE BLU-RAY PLAYER UNLESS IT IS A MULTI REGION DVD!!!
Touch the Blu-ray icon on the screen, go to the rack, insert your disc in the blu-ray player and control the device from the touch panel. The image will automatically appear in 16:9 aspect ratio (wide screen). You can change the aspect ratio by going to Room>Projector then you can choose the 4:3 (full screen).


If you are watching a multi-region DVD then you must use the DVD/VHS player. Touch DVD icon on the touch panel, insert disc in the DVD player and control the device from the touch panel. This image will automatically appear in 4:3 aspect ratio (full screen). You can change it if you need to. Go to Room>Projector than you can choose the 16:9 (widescreen).

Watching VHS

Touch VHS icon on the touch panel, insert tape in the VCR and control the device from the touch panel. This image will automatically appear in 4:3 aspect ratio (full screen). You can change it if you need to. Go to Room>Projector than you can choose the 16:9 (widescreen).

Projecting from Podium PC

The touch screen doubles as monitor for the podium PC. Touch the PC icon and the main screen will fill with the desktop image.


Using Laptop

Touch the laptop icon, plug VGA cable (located on the podium) into computer and you should have projection. If you have a Mac you will need to use your designated adapter (dongle).

Document Camera

Touch the Aux Video icon and you should have projection.


Aux Video

This cable is connected to the Document Camera but it can be disconnected and reconnected to a device that is not currently available in the rack such as a laser disc player or if you should need a second VCR. (Analog output only)


Dual Display

Dual display will allow you to choose any two sources and project them both on the screen at the same time. Touch the Dual Display icon and select the two sources you want.

Annotation

Annotation will allow you to “draw” on the touch panel “like they do with sports events on TV” with your finger.
