In this space you can project from a VGA cable, platy a DVD and a VHS, you can also bring another device that will project from RCA such as a Laser Disc player, and another device with projects from VGA such as a document camera.

Turning on the System - Touch the touchpanel screen anywhere, this will take you to the main menu and turn all the devices in the rack on.

Lights - You can control the lights in the room from the touchpanel. Press the Lights icon on the Main Menu, you have 5 options, Full on, Medium, for when you are projecting and would like to see better, Video, for better visibility when watching a film, Low and Off.

Screen - You can control the screen without having to turn the system off so you can have full access to the chalkboard.

Volume - You can control the volume in the room from and of the sources. You can also mute the volume if you need to.

Projecting from VGA - Press the Laptop icon on the main menu, connect the VGA cable to your computer. If you have a Mac you will need the appropriate adapter/dongle. (If you do not have a dongle you can loan one from the circulation desk at the Davis or Armstrong Library.) You should have projection, if you do not have projection, go to the troubleshooting section of this document.

Watching a DVD - Press the DVD icon on the main menu. Insert your disc and press play. You can control the DVD player from the touchpanel. You can play, pause, stop, fast forward, rewind, skip forward, skip backward, and eject. You can also navigate the DVD menu by pressing the DVD menu icon.

Watching a VHS - Press the VCR icon on the main menu. Insert your tape and press play. You can control the VCR from the touchpanel. You can play, pause, stop, fast forward and rewind.

Aux Video - You can bring a laser disc player or another VCR if you need to and connect it to the red, white, and yellow RCA input. Press the Aux Video icon.

Aux Computer - You can bring a document camera or a second laptop to project from. The VGA cables are labled according to which input it does to so be sure to choose the correct source on the touchpanel.

Turn the System Off - Press the red System Shutdown icon on the Main Menu, press the red System Off icon to confirm.
