Add the course again by entering the CRNs for all component parts of the course at the same time. The Link Error message means that youve tried to register for part of a course but not all of the required components. You can find the missing pieces by using the Schedule Type search option. Heres a quick reference of what to look for:
 
LINK ERROR: B1 REQUIRED, you need a section with the Schedule Type of Lab. B2, likely specific lecture requires a specific lab section e.g., with the same instructor. LINK ERROR: D1 REQUIRED, you need a section with the Schedule Type of Discussion. LINK ERROR: L1 REQUIRED, you need a section with the Schedule Type of Lecture. LINK ERROR: P1 REQUIRED, you need a section with the Schedule Type of Pre-Lab. LINK ERROR: S1 REQUIRED, you need a section with the Schedule Type of Screening. LINK ERROR: Y1 REQUIRED, you need a section with the Schedule Type of Drill 1. LINK ERROR: Z1 REQUIRED, you need a section with the Schedule Type of Drill 2.

Web Cache with Netscape Communicator
 
 
 
* symptom: Cannot connect via SSL to webcache
 
* symptom: event_log contains errors
 
* symptom: SSL Handshake Failed NZERROR=28863
 
* symptom: Netscape browers earlier than version 4.75 fail
 
* symptom: Fails with 40 bit Export Browsers
 
* symptom: 128 bit browsers work
 
* cause: Bug 2113419: USE EXPORT VERSION NETSCAPE BROWSER CAUSES SSL HANDSHAKE FAILED.
 
* Any browser that uses weak security i.e &lt;56bit will fail to connect to webcache.
 
* To check the level of encryption the browser supports go to http://www.fortify.net and then click SSLCHECK.
 
 
 
Fix:
 
 
 
Either recreate the certificate with a 512bit key,
 
 
 
Or upgrade all browsers to 128bit. This is the preferred option as reducing to 512bit keys is less secure and the existing browsers would still be using weak

Forgotten PIN

  • Reset the PIN using your security question: From http://go.middlebury.edu/ssb, supply your 8-digit ID number then click the Forgot PIN? button. If the security question is answered correctly you may specify a new 6-digit PIN.
  • If both the ID and PIN are unknown, please call the Technology Helpdesk during regular business hours (M-F, 8:15 am to 5:00 pm Eastern Time) at 802.443.2200 for assistance.

Disabled (Locked out)

If the wrong PIN is entered too many times, the user's BannerWeb account is disabled (locked) to prevent further activity. The security question reset method cannot be used; users must call the Technology Helpdesk at 802.443.2200 during regular business hours (M-F, 8:15 am to 5:00 pm EDT) for assistance.
