The idea that all knowledge is contained within the minds of humans. However, no one individual can know everything but everybody knows a little bit about something. By combining this information, humans could potentially use this collective knowledge to solve problems more effectively. This idea was presented by Pierre Levy, who discussed the role of the internet in fostering collective knowledge and bringing people together in order to express individual expertise on shared interest in various subjects.
