Luis and Ryan went to the Monterey Apple Store to consult with the Genius Bar regarding networking an external hard drive for iMovie project files. The Apple technician utilized the apple discussions from the website and wasn't much help, but nonetheless we found out that Apple has a 14 day return policy on Airport Extreme and Time Capsule wireless networking and storage devices.

Airport Extreme: A router with USB connection for external hard drive Time Capsule: A router with 500GB or 1TB internal hd with USB port for additional storage

New Features of iMovie 09: You can save project and event files in the location/disk of your choice. With airport extreme or time capsule, an external hard drive can be shared on a network. IMovie users will be able to save both their project and event on the networked hard drive. Students will no longer have to check out an external hard drive. They will have access to their project from any computer. This solves issues DMC has been having with projects being deleted after logging off.
