Is there a specific template for recommendations?
Yes. It can be found on the "Applying" page.
I have never studied this language before. Who fills out my recommendation form?
Students who have no prior language study at all should have people familiar with their work habits fill out the recommendation forms. Non-language professors, bosses, supervisors, and coworkers are good options.
For students who have studied a language other than the one for which they are applying, a recommendation from their language professors is a good option.
Can I have my recommender e-mail the letter instead of downloading?
Yes; please make sure that it has a signature on it, and that a hard copy follows by surface mail.
