Games (PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii)

"Games" - This is a preset that I made to setup FCP to capture games.

Composite Input (3/4, Hi8, Laser, MiniDV, VHS)

V4HD - DVCPro 480 29.97 (720 x 480)

Component Input (DVD, MiniDV)

V4HD - Apple ProRes 422 1080 29.97 (1920 x 1080)

  • Review the Log and Capture instructions. Most of the legacy decks in the Viewing Room are non-controllable which means you will need to use the transport controls on the player itself rather than controlling it within Final Cut Pro. Press Play on the player and then select "Capture Now" within the Final Cut Pro "Log and Capture" window. Capture large chunks or entire tapes rather than individual clips. Break the large chunks of media into smaller clips by setting in and out points and selecting Modify->Make Subclip or by pressing Apple + U.
