Setting A Different Reply To Address in Outlook

By default, when you send a message through Outlook, replies are directed to the account that sent the message. It is, however, possible to send any replies to an email address other than the one that sent the message. For example jsmith@midd sends a message via outlook, all replies to that message are sent back to jsmith@midd. With a different reply to address, a message sent from jsmith@midd can have replies be sent to someone else @ midd.

FAQ

After every message I see a window that says Symantec is scanning the email message. Is there any way to turn this off?

Q: I am sending lots of batch emails with an email program other than Outlook. After every message I see a window that says Symantec is scanning the email message. Is there any way to turn this off?

A: We recommend that you let Symantec scan each message you send to ensure that your computer isn't inadvertently sending spam or viruses. However, scanning every email message may cause the mail server to time out if you are sending lots of messages at once (mass mailing or batch mailing). If that's the case this is how you can prevent symantec from scanning each email message:

Start => Programs => Symantec Client Security => Symantec AntiVirus => Configure => Internet Email AutoProtect => Uncheck Internet Email AutoProtect => Click OK and exit Symantec.

We recommend that you turn this setting back on after you are done with the mass mailing.

Can I search for a folder name in my Outlook?

Q: Can I search for a folder name in my Outlook?

A: Unfortunately, it's not possible to search for a folder name in Outlook. You can search for messages, and you can search inside folders and subfolders, but if you've lost a folder in a long folder structure, there is no way to get Outlook to tell you where a folder with a particular name is.

However, you can get a flat list of all the folders in outlook. Select the top folder (Mailbox - ...), on your keyboard, ensure numlock is on, hit the asterisk key and this will expand ALL subfolders in the folder list on the left.
